Description

WINDY FLAG captures the quiet motion of a flag caught in mid-air. Its smooth, curved surface suggests constant movement, as if shaped by an invisible breeze.

The geometry is built on a pentagon-based grid, but unlike previous Paragami pentagon-based structures, the blocks are angled rather than extruded straight up. This subtle shift creates a flowing rhythm across the surface, enhancing the sense of motion, depth, and wavering form.

The default colour palette is abstract and balanced, designed to work naturally in modern interiors. For those who want a more playful or symbolic look, the pattern can be easily transformed into a pixel-art-style flag by adjusting colours directly in the slicer.

A calm yet dynamic piece that sits somewhere between geometry, motion, and quiet experimentation. 

3D geometry is exported to .dwg, .stp and stl. files.

    Blocks are numbered. To print blocks individually, drag and drop the colour-grouped STL into your slicer and use the “Split to Objects” function, then apply “Arrange Print Bed.”

THIS IS A 3D MODEL EXPORT

Slicing settings depend on the model, especially its blocks/pyramids. For steep pyramids with gradual angles, increase perimeters or maintain shell thickness. Rotate blocks and enable supports. Settings vary by printer condition. For post-processing, use higher layers for faster printing and cover notches with colored spray.
To get started, we recommend this PRINTING SETTINGS:
• Layer height: 0,2 - 0,3 mm
• Perimeters: 2-3
• Infill: 5% (Rectilinear)
• Bottom Solid Layers: 2
• Top Solid Layers: 3
• Additional Setting: Use extra perimeters if needed, ensure minimum shell thickness, and detect thin walls (test as results vary by printer and slicer). Print external perimeters first. Adjust extrusion width to modify perimeter count in thin walls.
