Description

Paper Mace uses inclined half-pyramid blocks, each angled according to an underlying attractor curve — creating a dynamic, rippling surface where light and shadow shift dramatically depending on the viewing angle.

The curve driving this design creates a clustered, weighted impression — dense, spiked blocks gathering with the heft and presence of a medieval mace head.

A papercraft built from simple folded triangle pairs, yet capable of striking visual complexity through the angle of each block.

    Know the position, number, orientation, and colour of every block.

WHEN WILL I GET IT?

Instant download after payment confirmation. Your files are available on the checkout page and sent by email.

THIS IS A SINGLE-COLOUR PAPER VERSION

The template is designed to be made in one colour. The unfolded blocks are arranged on the sheets and grouped by number, so you can assemble the artwork section by section.

Follow the numbered layout, fold the blocks, and place them in position.

Use any paper colour you like. Different finishes, including shiny papers, can create very different results.

HOW DO I KNOW WHERE EACH BLOCK GOES?

The included PDF layout grid shows where each block belongs. Each block is numbered, and the grid shows its orientation and, where applicable, its colour.

The printed template lines and numbers are folded to the inside of each block and will be hidden after assembly. Mark the block number on the bottom base so you can identify it during assembly.

HOW DO I PRINT IT?

Print the PDF templates at 100% scale on A4 or US Letter paper. Do not use “Fit to page” or automatic scaling. Then cut the shapes with scissors or a scalpel.

For plotter cutting, use the included DXF or SVG files.
