Description

Fishbone uses the Stripes technique to create a sharp, angled chevron pattern — narrow colour strips folded and threaded through the backboard to form a clean, herringbone-like rhythm across the surface.

A simple, satisfying build — print, cut, fold and thread the stripes through the layout, no complex block assembly required. The whole process takes just a couple of hours.

THIS IS A PARAGAMI STRIPES TEMPLATE

The large layout grid is prepared for A4 paper format. Just print it out and put it together. Glue the back side of the layout to the back side of the background paper.


Cut the lines through the layout paper and the background paper. Later on, you will pull the colour stripes through these holes from the other side.


Get ready, the STRIPES. Print it on A4 paper. The PDF is divided into THREE parts. For the best result, use a different colour paper for each. Then, Cut out all the STRIPES.


Fold them and create creases following the dashed lines. You can also use a plotter. DXF files are included. Place the STRIPES one by one. Follow the numbers. Pull the stipe-tabs through the slits.


Verify the number on the bottom side, where the layout is. Secure the tabs in the back with glue. That is all! The whole process takes only a couple of hours!

LAYOUT GRID

It determines where each block belongs. Orientation by numbers is straightforward.

  • "34" is Up
  • "ᔭƐ" is Down

Additionally, each cell contains a colour number for the respective block.
