Description

Lunar Eclipse uses angled half-pyramid blocks to create a viewpoint-dependent illusion — the full Moon is visible only when viewed from directly in front. From the side, all you see are black triangles, as if the moon has vanished into eclipse.

The dimensions (1360 × 1360mm) refer only to the Moon circle — the border is made of a single repeatable block and can be extended as much as you like. Make the overall piece as big as you want, in a square or rectangle — entirely up to you.

THIS IS A SINGLE-COLOUR PAPER VERSION


The template is prepared for the simple one-colour art. The individual unfolded blocks are arranged onto the paper sheets based on the numbers.

The blocks are arranged in groups. For example, block ㉔ will be in the first part 1-25. You can assemble the art part by part.

Assembling is easy. Fold each block and place it according to the grid.
There are numbers shown in the grid. Assembling the art is easy!

You can use any paper colour. Do not worry about experimenting. Shiny papers look awesome!
