Description

Mosaic challenges what's possible with just 10 shapes — a system-based design built for endless rearrangement and reuse.

Among the 25 layouts, two fan favourites recreate famous artworks in pixelated, mosaic form — a Mona Lisa and a Starry Night interpretation, both built entirely from the same 10 reusable block shapes.

Instead of using hundreds of unique blocks, MOSAIC challenges what's possible with just 10 shapes—truncated pyramids with a hexagonal base. These versatile blocks let you create wall art, 3D puzzles, or even decorative panels. Fewer shapes make assembly easier, like working with just 10 templates. With magnets or a grid, you can rearrange endlessly, exploring patterns that feel limitless. This was a journey of discovery, and I hope it inspires your creations.

THIS IS A FIVE-COLOUR PAPER VERSION

The template is prepared for five colours, with the unfolded blocks arranged on the sheets according to their colour.

The layout grid makes assembly straightforward: find the block number, fold it, and place it in the matching position.

Experiment with your paper colours. You can follow the suggested palette or create your own combination.

HOW DO I KNOW WHERE EACH BLOCK GOES?

The included PDF layout grid shows where each block belongs. Each block is numbered, and the grid shows its orientation and, where applicable, its colour.

The printed template lines and numbers are folded to the inside of each block and will be hidden after assembly. Mark the block number on the bottom base so you can identify it during assembly.

HOW DO I PRINT IT?

Print the PDF templates at 100% scale on A4 or US Letter paper. Do not use “Fit to page” or automatic scaling. Then cut the shapes with scissors or a scalpel.

For plotter cutting, use the included DXF or SVG files.
