Description

Microscope Zoom recreates a Voronoi cell structure — an organic, irregular network of shapes that looks like a microscope view into living or mineral matter.

This is zoom level 02 — each version in the series uses a different Voronoi cell size, simulating zooming further in or out, from broad cellular structures to fine, dense detail.

A paper cutout design: no folding or gluing required, just cutting. Layer the cut sheets to build up depth, then frame in a custom box or shadow box to protect and display the finished piece.

IT'S EASY TO DO

Takes 1 hour with a plotter. No folding or glueing—just cutting. Fits any page format, requires minimal paper.

PAPER WEIGHT

Use 120+ gsm paper, prioritizing thickness. Designs use 40 sheets, aiming for 25 mm depth (0.65 mm/sheet).

EXTRA SPACERS

To achieve the final depth of 25 mm, add paper strip spacers between sheets to reach 25 mm depth. Use multiple if needed.

FRAMING

Frame the art with a custom box or shadow box to secure sheets and protect them from dust. Glue sheets together.
