PAPER KIT WHITE BLOCK CUSTOMIZATION

Making each artwork truly yours

White Hexspire blocks are designed as a creative blank canvas. They allow you to step beyond predefined colour palettes and turn the building process into an expressive, hands-on art experience.

The 250g paper used for the blocks is thick enough for bold experimentation. It absorbs color well, holds its shape, and remains structurally stable even when exposed to moisture, paint, or layered finishes. Lighter papers would warp or lose precision — these are built to handle it.

Below are several proven techniques you can use to customize your blocks before folding and assembly.

  • HIDE WHITE EDGES WITH A MARKER

A regular, inexpensive marker (the kind kids use) works perfectly. You don’t need an exact colour match—just a similar tone to reduce the contrast and hide the white edge.

The laminated surface doesn’t absorb the marker, so mistakes can be wiped off easily. The colour stays only on the edge, where it soaks in.

  • COLOR SPLASH — CONTROLLED CHAOS

Splash, drip, and let the paint move.

Colors bleed, mix, and blur as you tilt or press the paper.

The 250g paper is thick enough to absorb the paint without falling apart — each block captures a unique moment of movement.

    Splashing is fun.

    Cleaning afterward… less so.

  • COLOR SPRAY — METALLIC & SOLID FINISHES

Spray paint allows fast, even coverage and strong surface character.

Metallic finishes like gold, bronze, or copper give the blocks a reflective, architectural feel.

Solid colors create clean, uniform surfaces with subtle texture.

  • SPRAY PAINT — SAND STONE TEXTURE

  • DECOUPAGE — TEXTURE & PATTERN

Layer thin paper, prints, or textures onto the surface.

This technique adds visual depth and tactile detail that changes with light and viewing angle.
