FOLDING THE PAPER KIT BLOCKS

Paragami blocks come pre-cut and pre-colored (unless you choose the white version). This makes the process more accessible and removes the need for preparation. Another key benefit is that the blocks are designed to lock into shape without glue.

Each block uses paper-lock tabs that hold the form securely once folded.
The folding process itself is straightforward and intuitive.

The method below is a recommended approach — what works best for me. Feel free to adjust and develop your own rhythm over time.

  • • Each block package contains 50 blocks — 5 pieces of each block type (A–J)

    • Every lock is designed to “click” into place when fully engaged

    • Always pull each lock tab all the way through before moving on

If you struggle to pull a lock tab fully through the slot, use tweezers to gently grab the tab from the inside and pull it until it clicks. This is especially helpful for tighter folds.

  • 01.

    1. Fold along the pre-scored lines

  • 02.

Start with the two bottom locks

  • 03.

Secure the side lock on the horizontal edge

  • 04.

    Close the top lock last

  • With a bit of practice:

    • Folding 10 blocks takes about 7 minutes

    S layout (250 blocks): ~3 hours
    M layout (500 blocks): ~6 hours
    L layout (1,000 blocks): ~12 hours
XL layout (1,500 blocks): ~18 hours

Take your time — precision matters more than speed.

Once you learn the sequence, the process becomes faster, repetitive, and almost meditative. It’s an ideal hands-on, offline activity while listening to a podcast or spending time with family.
