  • PAPER WEIGHT

    I recommend to use paper of at least 120 gsm. However, thickness is more important than weight. PARAGAMI CUTOUT designs consist of 40 paper sheets. To achieve the best result, the final art should be 25 mm deep. Which means 0,65 mm per sheet.

  • EXTRA SPACERS

    To achieve the final depth of 25 mm, adding spacers is recommended. Spacers are extra paper stripes added between paper sheets. Use multiple spacers if needed. Remember, the goal is to have 25 mm in total.

  • FRAMING

    Enchance the final look by framing the art. Make your own custom box. The box will also keep the paper sheets in place. In any case, you should glue all the paper sheets together. Or use a shadow box. It will protect the art from the dust;)

    Additionaly you can protect the art from dust by covering it with a glass overt the frame.

PRACTICAL TIPS

  • USE MULTIPLE COLOURED PAPERS

    Make different geometry from multiple coloured paper. You will achieve a great 3D effect.

  • USE A HARDBOARD FOR THE BACKGROUD

    Use plywood and any other hardboard as a background. Glue the paper block to it. The board will keep them in place and the art piece will be tough and easy to hang.

  • USE SPACERS

    You can increase the depth of the art. Simply add a "spacer" between the sheets. Place them along the edges. As a spacer, you can use a cardboard stripe etc.
