  • The design is optimized and colour paper is efficiently used. You will not need a large amount of paper sheets.

HOW TO DO PARAGAMI STRIPES

  • FOLLOW THIS VIDEO

    The large layout grid is prepared for A4 paper format. Just print in and put it together. Glue the back side of the layout to the back side of the background paper.

  • Cut the lines all the way through the layout paper and the background paper. Later on, you will pull the colour stripes through these holes from the other side.

  • Get ready the STRIPES. Print it on A4 paper. The PDF is divided into THREE parts. For the best result use a different colour paper for each. Then Cut out all the STRIPES.

  • old them and create creases foloving the dashed lines. You can also use a plotter. DXF files are included. Place the STRIPES one by one. Folow the numbers. Pull the stipe-tabs through the slits.

  • Verify the number on the bottom side, where is the layout. Secure the tabs in the back with a glue. That is all! The whole process takes only couple of hours!

PRACTICAL TIPS

  • USE MULTIPLE COLOURED PAPERS

    Make different geometry from multiple coloured paper. You will achieve a great 3D effect.

  • USE A HARDBOARD FOR THE BACKGROUD

    Use plywood and any other hardboard as a background. Glue the paper block to it. The board will keep them in place and the art piece will be tough and easy to hang.

  • LOOK BEFORE YOU LEAP

    Cut only the lines, which are supposed to be cut. Double-check the correct folding before glueing. Make sure, that the assembly fits the grid layout. Better to be safe than sorry!
